On Sunday 19th November at 5 pm, we celebrated the anniversary of when our founder, Bl. James Alberione entered eternal life. This celebration of the eucharist took place at St. Francis of Assisi, Milk Park, where Ignacia is a pastoral associate. When we requested the parish priest, Fr. Anthony Girolami if we could hold this function in his parish, he warmly accepted, although he could not be attend as he is away on holiday.
The priest presiding in Fr. Anthony’s absence was his curate Fr. George Feliciouz who welcomed us graciously. After communion, he invited Estelita to come to the lectern and give the congregation some understanding of the life and mission of our founder. She gave a well prepared and interesting introduction, touching on his early years when he felt called to be a priest and when as a young man this call was realised. His special charism for the spreading of the gospel via the modern means of communication was emphasized as was his creation of the Pauline Family. She invited the people to take some of the literature she had placed in the foyer.
Later, in this spacious church foyer, we shared some refreshments. Joining us, besides the parishioners of St Francis were some friends from St Joseph the Worker, North Reservoir, St. Damians’s, Bundoora and St. Luke’s, Lalor.

Happy Feastday! It was a beautiful celebration of the gift of Fr. Founder to the Church both to those who knew him and to the parishioners of St. Francis who heard about him for the first time.
May Bl. James Alberione continue to intercede for us.Amen.
