Lingayen community celebrates the feast of Mary Mother of the Good Shepherd

The Feast of Mary Mother of the Good Shepherd, which falls every September 3 has always been included in the school calendar of Jesus Good Shepherd Development Center and celebrated with a Triduum among the pupils and Novena in the community of the sisters, and culminating with the celebration of the Eucharist on the Feast day. This year, Lingayen Community opted to make the last three days of the novena a special occasion to prepare for the Feast of Mary Mother of the Good Shepherd with the members of the school community, with the parishioners of the Epiphany of the Lord Parish of Lingayen and the collaborators of the BEC apostolate in the Archdiocese of Lingayen-Dagupan.
The Triduum masses were held on August 31, September 1 and 2 at 4:00 p.m. On the first day of the Triduum, the reason for making the celebration public was explained: the Centenary of the Pauline Family, the last year of preparation for the Golden Jubilee of Presence of the Pastorelle in the Philippines, and the call to pray for the Interchapter of the Pastorelle in Rome. It was an occasion to introduce to the people the existence in the world of the Pauline Family founded by Blessed James Alberione. The second day of the Triduum focused on the history of the devotion to Mary Mother of the Good Shepherd and on the third day, the explanation and deepening of the icon of Mary Mother of the Good Shepherd. Everything was done with the purpose to propagate the devotion and to regularly pray the Chaplet.
On September 3, the Holy Mass was held at 8:30 in the morning. The excitement and joy was evident especially among the children who easily learned the song, Oh, Mary Blessed Shepherdess, and sang it with devotion. After the Eucharist, a simple refreshment was shared. We look forward to another opportunity like this to share the gift of our charism to the school and parish community as we celebrate the major feasts of our Congregation.

What a beautiful occasion to introduce the people of Lingayen at Mary mother of Jesus Good Sheperd devotion. Good even to celebrate with the peolple of God the Pauline Family 100 years.
